Advancing Pennsylvania Through Community Colleges
PA COMMUNITY COLLEGES – Wellness/Support Services
and Student Parents
Pennsylvania’s 15 community colleges prioritize students’ needs, enabling them to stay strong and access the resources and support necessary to succeed academically, socially, emotionally, and beyond.
Student parents at community colleges face significant childcare, financial, and academic hurdles, but are increasingly supported by college services. Tailored support improves persistence and degree completion for this large, often overlooked group.

HACC recognizes that many students juggle work, life, school and parenting responsibilities. This is why HACC offers child care options, flexible class schedules and caring professors.
Students like Amber and Paul found that a HACC education made them stronger people and parents.
“HACC has great professors who really take the time to help you. There are lots of programs within the College that support mothers going back to school,” Amber said.
