2010 Student Success Forum
On October 14, 2010, the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges hosted its fourth annual Student Success Forum at Normandy Farm Hotel & Convention Center. The Forum, once again, was attended by over 100 community college presidents, staff, faculty, and stakeholders. The day was packed full of informative presentations, all of which can be found below.

2009 Student Success Forum

For the third year in a row, more than 100 people attended the 2009 Achieving the Dream Student Success Forum held on Friday, October 6, 2009.  Attendees, representing the secondary and higher education sectors, participated in this dialogue to enhance community college student success. 

Presentations at this year's Forum included, "Our Time is Now: The Federal Perspective on the Role of Community Colleges" by Brenda Dann-Messier, Assistant Secretary for the office of Vocational and Adult Education, U.S. Department of Education. Also, "Closing the Expectations Gap" by Nevin Brown, Senior Fellow, Postsecondary Engagement with Achieve.

The afternoon continued with Student Success Conversations with college presidents and administrators, as well as Roundtable Discussions. The roundtable discussions focused on priority areas to enhance student success. Small groups of community college educators, administrators, and stakeholders shared strategies and promising practices that can influence education policy.

2008 Student Success Forum
During the 2nd Annual 2008 Achieving the Dream Student Success Forum, participants engaged in roundtable discussions focused on priority areas to enhance student success. Small groups of community college educators, administrators, and stakeholders shared strategies and promising practices that can infl uence education policy. Through the exploration of college and workforce readiness, student success strategies, and data collection issues, it became evident that a commitment to investing in student success is essential!
